Does Whirlwind landscape residential properties?

Generally no, Whirlwind strictly serves commercial sites.  An exception to this would be apartment complexes or residential communities, which Whirlwind is happy to landscape, as well as street sweep, parking lot sweep, day port, or handle any other property needs.

Will Whirlwind perform winter services for my site?

If your site is currently serviced by Whirlwind, we will do our best to make you a part of our snow program should you request that.  Demand for winter services is very high, especially after the first snow of the season; we recommend you to contact our Client Services office in Autumn if you will be requiring winter services.  If you are not a current customer of Whirlwind, we unfortunately cannot add you to our snow program due to the already high demand for such services.

Does Whirlwind repair irrigation systems?

Yes, Whirlwind landscape crews and special operations staff will inspect your irrigation system when they activate it in the spring and will report any damages that need attention, repairing them with your approval.  Should there be an emergency leak, our office can dispatch a crew member to quickly stop the leak and repair the irrigation system.

Do I need to be a current recurring services client in order to have other Whirlwind services performed?

As a rule, recurrent Whirlwind clients take priority when requesting special jobs.  However, Whirlwind does occasionally handle special services requests for new clients, on a case-by-case basis, so please call the office.

What is a BMP exactly?

BMP stands for Best Management Practice.  BMP’s prevent contamination from entering the stormwater runoff by controlling them at the source.  Operational BMPs are non-structural practices and are the most cost-effective way to minimize pollutants.  Structural BMPs are physical, structural, or mechanical devices intended to physically prevent pollutants from entering stormwater.  BMPs must be applied as required by Law and to the maximum extent practicable. BMPs differ by site according to location and on-site activities.  If you have questions regarding what BMPs apply to your property, we can help you determine what is required of you.
